Slow Sunday Stitching-20 Sep

I attended the Utah Quilt Fest this

past week where I took a class

in Sashiko stitching.

 

We were given kits with the

traditional indigo blue fabric

and white cotton thread.

 

 

 I will be stitching the Crane

motif. It is a very restful

stitching to do after a crazy week.

Slow Sunday stitching 13 Sep

The weather has cooled off for

the weekend a little, so I decided

to finish up row 39 on my

Trip Around the World project

 

I laid it on the bed to see how it

fit. I need to do a few more rows

all the way around, then I'll

add to just the top and bottom

so it fits.

On the Needle-4 Sep

This week, I am starting to

organize and begin projects

for Christmas. I am a very

slow beginner knitter, so I

have to start early!

 

My husband is a teacher

and the crossing guard. The

Winter weather can be

nasty sometimes, so I am

knitting him a few hats

for his Christmas.

 

This week, I just started

the Ruben Hat by

Trelly Hernandez.

 

It is a free pattern I found

on Raverly.com

 

I am knitting it in wool

that is a dark moss green color

I have never done cables

before, so this will be a

learning experience for me.
